We don’t know much about my paternal grandfather.  He left the family when my dad was very young.  But thanks to some geneological research by my mom, we have connected with a lady who turns out to be my dad’s half sister.  She has provided us with some interesting history and pictures of my grandfather.  And the family resemblance is striking!

I find it interesting that my dad, although he never knew his father, shared an interest in collecting postage stamps.

And here is a photo of my Great Grandmother, Rosa Wick.

Great pics, and yes, the resemblance between Nick and his father is striking!

If Claude is really the father of Nick ( they really look like each other) then Nick is my half brother because Claude II is my father and Rosa Wick is my grandmother. I was born 12-17-1946 in Alameda California. There is another half brother. His first name is Tommy. I met him once. I was around seven he was around thriteen. I don’t remember where we were. I have two younger brothers and a younger sister. I also have a half sister who sent you the pictures. My half sister and I share the same mother.

Claude III – I would love to connect with you. We keep trying to find out more of the missing pieces about Nick’s father. We understand there are several half-siblings out there. Contact me at mamaurer1@verizon.net. Alice Maurer (Nick’s wife)
